AUSTIN, Texas, November 1, 2008 — Simple Power, a Texas retail electric provider that gives customers a smart alternative to their current electricity service, today announced the appointment of Carol Liang as the new Operations Analyst for the company. In this role, Liang is responsible for identifying and processing retail customer enrollment, as well prevent any issues that arise during the process. She will also develop operational analysis benchmarks and metrics to support the company's continued growth.
"Liang will help us continue to provide exemplary customer service as we grow and compete as a retail electric provider," said David Luppino, CEO of Simple Power.
Prior to Simple Power, Liang worked for Foxconn Hon Hai Precision as a logistics coordinator. In her role, she was the project lead responsible for moving Foxconn's new build purchase operations to a third party provider. She also worked for Representative Martha Wong where she assisted the Communications Director. Liang holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Minor in Business Foundations from The University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
Despite the recent closure of several retail electric providers in Texas, Simple Power continues to expand in the energy market. Simple Power has plans to hire as many as 20 new employees in central Texas during the 2008-09 fiscal year in supportive, administrative and sales positions.
